While scrolling on social media one day I saw three articles about taking kids on vacation; if you should take them, are they old enough and where you can take your children. This got me thinking about my childhood and how I am now as an adult with my own children.
As a child, we went to the beach a lot for vacation and that is actually my first vacation memory. I honestly don’t remember a lot from that vacation, I was only 3 years old, but I get to hear all of the wonderful stories from my parents about...
My number one vacation destination I need to visit before I kick the bucket is England. I have been dreaming and planning of the day that I will get to fulfill this dream of mine, but until then I get to experience what life has to offer me that is within driving distance.
Not only is England a must do travel destination, but Canada is high on my list and it just so happens that Canada is a very close drive for me now. Canada has many things to offer tourist, such as unique museums, amusement parks, and stunning architecture.
Did you know that there is a theme park where the theme is holidays? Want to visit a section of the park in Thanksgiving and ride the Turkey Whirl or how about the 4th of July section and ride something called the Firecracker! Not only is Holiday World such a fantastic concept, but you can visit this adorable Theme Park in Santa Claus, Indiana.

When I first moved to Chillicothe Ohio I would take my son to this adorable little candy shop called Llyod’s Sweet Shoppe. It had decorations of the past and candies I’ve never heard of. After 45 years of business Lloyd’s closed their doors and a new candy store came to town.

Let me start out by saying I’ve never been on either so comments are welcomed. If you read my article Is a Disney cruise worth it? You know that I have been on a cruise and since my family fell in love with cruising we are planning another one. Now for the hard part, which one?
When you are planning any vacation you always start with when you can go. In our case we decided we wanted to go in the fall. Next, where do you want to go? While talking to my parents about cruising, they say it’s either...
“A community is more than just a group of people living in a particular area. A community is a group of people we lean on when times are tough; our friends, family, and neighbors who are there for us when we need love, support and encouragement.” Sona Mehring.
Did you know there was a community for people who love Disney? There are tons of websites, blogs, YouTube channels, and yes Facebook groups all about Disney. Just like the above quote a community can mean so much more than living next door to someone.
The greatest thing I take away from my love of Disney is...
