Every morning that I am home, I turn on the local news and then shift over to the national morning shows. I feel that it helps me to be current on the latest news and feel like I know a little about what is going on in the world around me. The issue with this is that frequently during these programs I am filled with emotions that are detrimental to my anxiety. It fills me with emotions like sorrow, anger, frustration, some happiness, occasional indifference, and fear. These emotions make me wonder if the benefit of being up to date on these news stories outweighs the anxiety that it causes.
