Ok, so the title may be a little misleading! I’m not saying “I’m losing it” as a statement of what is occurring now. I can see how that could be mistaken as this blog is all about my Anxiety Driven Life. No, I am making a declaration. “I’m losing it!” Meaning that I am on a quest to lose the extra weight that I have gathered throughout my 41 years. Well, let’s be honest I have really only started picking up this weight the past 15 years or so but I am making up for lost time.
This post is going to be short and sweet because I need to get out there and start living it instead of typing it. I am going to lay it all out there on the line. I am 6 ft tall and weigh 250lbs. This gives me a BMI of 33.9 according to the CDC BMI Calculator. This puts me in the obese category. The CDC states that my normal weight should be between 136-184lbs. While that may seem a bit crazy to me, I do know that there is a great deal of weight that needs to be shed for me to be relatively healthy.
I have decided that I will set my goal at 50lbs. My goal weight will be 200lbs. I’m not quite sure what timeframe I will put on this goal yet. I will ponder that while I am out being active today. Until tomorrow!
